( Police chief's son dies in Iraq )

my friend's older brother died in iraq on saturday. he was 24, and had a wife who is 3 months pregnant in florida. it's unbelievable how quickly your life can change. in an instant. i feel so bad for his family, i don't think i could come up with the words to say how much i sympathize for them right now. there's already so much going on with my friend's dad (he was the police chief of our town, but was fired due to circumstances i'm not 100% positive of, i think it was seven charges of misconduct and incompetence, but i don't really know specifically what) and now this happens. i haven't spoken to my friend but i can only imagine how he's doing.

i'm not really sure why i'm posting this, but i felt a need for it. it just goes to show that you shouldn't take anything for granted, because just like that everything you know &love can be taken away from you.

please, if you have the time, read that article and just keep his family in your prayers. i'm not asking much, but they could use it right now.
